About Gloomy Sunday Tears:
Gloomy Sunday Tears is a song by Vampyrouss which first appeared as an advanced single and music video to promote the 2007 demo "Compendium Vampyrica" on which it featured.
As with most of tracklisting from that demo the song was re-recorded for the 2017 album of the same name "Compendium Vampyrica" and then appeared along with the whole Vampyrouss back catalogue on the "Barely (A)Live Rehearsal" release in 2021.
Uniquely among Vampyrouss songs the lyrics for Gloomy Sunday Tears were not written by vocalist Kazraine but rather adapted from the infamous Hungarian suicide song "Gloomy Sunday" by Rezső Seress. The music however is a completely unrelated original piece written by Vampyrouss songwriter Azrael.
