Opeth is back man! You hear them growls?!

I really like it more than the previous album, that one just didn't really stick with me for some reason even though I enjoy it when I listen to it. TLWAT is a bit more varied I suppose? Which is funny since it's a concept album lol. I am not bothered about growls and "heaviness" though, it fits on the album so that's cool, but I have liked the modern albums (besides the aforementioned ICV) as much as the old ones so that's not really make or break for me at all, I'd probably put this new album in a middle-area ranking with Heritage and MAYH, really enjoyable but quite not the tippity-top, which is not bad at all!

Happy new year man!

You too! "Let's get creative!"

Do you like the harmony codex better than TFB?

I don't think I will, I've only heard the music video releases properly and I had a very quick listen through the other tracks and I really like it but TFB is a really easy album to listen to in any circumstance whereas this one will be more of a "full experience" release I'd listen to in totality and thus not so often as the individual tracks from the last (few in fact) solo records.

OMG have you seen Gen V yet?

Not yet actually! I should get on that, behind with a lot of stuff recently!

new vampyrouss album is mint x

Thank you very much! It was a lot of work but very worth it I feel!

foot fetish?

Nah, but I am not freaked out by them like some people say they are *shrugs*

fav taskmaster contestant/season?

That's a hard one since you're nearly always going to say people you already liked before the show, so for me Tim Key and Richard Herring would be right at the top of that list and to be fair both were extremely fun and good on the show, but I like to be surprised by people I didn't really know much before and 2 names that instantly stick out are Asim Chaudhry (I'd seen his face and knew the name but never really seen him in anything... and now he is EVERYWHERE popping up all the time, which is great to see!) and Sophie Duker who was brilliant from start to finish! From the New Years Treats I have to mention Self Esteem who I would have loved to have seen on a proper full series!

Series wise... I think every one has been good and the lineups are always great... I think 6 and 10 are unfairly maligned or "forgotten" in the case of 6 and they are both really good as are the rest... I can say one of my favourite series locations has been the train station from 8!

Sites lookin brill babe xx

Thank you so much! It is getting there!!

Why the green and purple???

Well the previous look of the site was supposed to look as plainly neutral as possible from any of my projects as an ever updating archive of everything I've been involved with so I made it deliberatly very monotone but I also miss the websites of old that have some personality and character to them and so I wanted to put a little bit of ME in there too you know?

The look was inspired by yesworld.com which was already a HUGE  inspiration for this sites archive nature (they do and have done it the best for decades, seriously!) and stevenwilsonhq.com which has a modern sleek look with a minimal but interesting colour scheme (for the "The Future Bites" album style), and mostly it functions AND reads super well on different screen sizes so I wanted to do something a bit like that.

Hopefully the site is all updated now and fully functioning with the new purple and green motif, the comments sections are still the same as before and maybe a few things I've forgotten to update (lol) but aside from that none of the text and buttons and so on should be boring black text anymore. Even the paper looking lyrics pages have a dark blue inky colour for the fonts, so hopefully this is a clean and garish look that sums up me as a person without distracting TOO much from the actual information!

I love it mate! 🖤

Arrrr, glad to hear it matey, shiver me timbers and so forth!!

Give me a controversal statement

People with strong opinions about pouring tea first then adding milk are insufferable (same goes for any cream/jam and scones situation... scones are boring mulch, jam is grim, the only logical order is to just eat the damn cream, lol!)

I have always put milk in my cup first. It's the SAME for all intents and purposes. If you are that obsessed with the "perfect brew" being spoilt then you aren't drinking tea for the same reason as me and I don't care, go away with that boring rhetoric.

I'll tell you what is different about making tea first then adding milk... you're making it a lot easier to put in too much milk or too little milk and THAT is a surefire way to disrupt your damn perfect brew, so there!

Is that good? 😛

How is it mate? 😃

Jolly good!

Hullo

Yo!

did you like the new dont hug me im scared?

Yep! I really enjoyed it! I was intrigued by the more linear story based Pilot that was floating around that had a big cast of characters and locations and expanded on the world... but now seeing the final show they made I am REALLY glad they took the series back to the roots of the YouTube version with the simple single episode premise with a distant and haunting overarching menace, minimal (main) characters and locations and so on, it really feels like a continuation/soft reboot of the YouTube version and carried across all the fun and disturbing elements!

I'd still love to either see or read the full intentions of the abandoned pilot/series that could have been just to know what the final idea was but all in all I think they made a great choice in making THIS version of the TV show!

I'm also glad it's actually on Channel 4 on TV and not just a "web series" on All4 (which is how most of us already watched it I guess, but whatever) even though it's being shown at a pretty inconvieniant time on a Friday night... but in my youth lots of the cool/weird stuff I saw (the first bunch of anime I ever watched, Beastly Behaviour, weird animated art films and so on...) was on late at night and early in the morning on Channel 4 on Friday and Saturday nights, so hopefully DHMIS can be that for a different generation of people discovering weird indie creativity!

Happy Birthday! 🎂🖤🖤

Thank you very much!
