Lez provided the studio with this 4 string bass which he had previously setup to mimic 5 string tuning (BEAD without the G of course) with the thicker string guage and so on. I have since had it set to drop C (CGCF) so it matches my PRS tuning and I can easily switch from guitar to bass when songwriting without having to think about different tunings.

Not that this was ever an issue really, it's just nice to have the option and it is preferable when playing stuff written with Drop C in mind (Vampyrouss song "Horror At Riverside" is much more comfortable to play for instance).
