A Plague Upon The Earth is the opening instrumental track by Vampyrouss from the 2017 album "Compendium Vampyrica" stylised as Chapter I: A Plague Upon The Earth. Unlike the other 2 instrumental "Chapter" songs on the album A Plague Upon The Earth isn't really a full song in it's own right but the intro of the next track My Passion Predator.

The 2007 demo "Compendium Vampyrica" featured the original recording of My Passion Predator which included the intro as a continuous longer song. A shorter edit was released as a single in August 2007 which became the default "final" version of the song with the intro removed.

The name A Plague Upon The Earth is an referential easter egg of sorts coming from the working title during the writing phase in 2006-2007 being "A Plague Upon The Earth (My Passion Predator)" before being shortened.
