About Horus Stole My Identity:
Agricultural Drone demo from the noise makers Baphomethead. The 2 Sowers Of Doom had a farm nearby to Emperor City Studios and came by to record this experimental noise project. It was overseen and somewhat produced with the help of Rejon Munchausen, Kazraine Maars and with a little help from Robert Rochelle.
Horus Stole My Identity Liner Notes:
All lyrics & music by Baphomethead.
Mixed and mastered by Kazraine Maars @ Emperor City Studios.
Horus Stole My Identity Trivia:
Although this was the only Baphomethead recording made at Emperor City Studios the duo had been independantly creating DIY recordings together since the late 70's. They had a hit single in Denmark in Christmas 1984.
This demo is said to be their 86th recording together, although not every release explicitly contained the Baphomethead identity.
Horus Stole My Identity was released digitally as well as on tape cassette. The band requested that the tapes be pre-used and as degraded as possible to give a less clear sound and thus some of the handful of tapes made were unlistenable (moreso than the intentions of the demo itself).
Each tape was packaged in a Jiffy Bag containing the cassette tape in its box along with a hand written letter in illegible Ancient Devonian. The Jiffy Bag was also filled with fresh soil from the bands own farm for added protection in transit.
The last track on the demo is a comical acapella style cover of "I Cum Blood" by Cannibal Corpse which is read out via text-to-talk.
It is alleged by the band themselves that they performed easy listening versions of the songs that would eventually be recorded on this demo live for the Piers Gaveston Society as hired "house band, catering and entertainment" with performances including the night of the "Piggate" hazing incident in the late 80's where the titular livestock head had been brought with them from their farm. Sower Of Doom #1 elaborated on details of the scandalous evening saying that the future PM exhaustedly ejaculated into the decapitated hogs maw exactly 1min 27 into a funk infused version of Politixz#13shift during an improvised wild sax and slap bass solo whimpering to himself "That'll do pig".
