The band name Vampyrouss was actually thought up by Lez who created the band as well. He told me the band name he had thought up and said I was going to be the vocalist and that was it, off we went!

I've always seen it as an homage to the film "Vampyros Lesbos" (despite the spelling difference) which had definitely been on TV around that time, like a week before the creation of the band at most but I can't speak for Lez whether that was his inspiration.

He also named Diabolous Nightbreed the next band we formed together which also has an odd spelling, so I think that was just his thing at the time. It has really been favourable for us in the long run in terms of unique searchability on the internet though! :D

I was around 5'9 when I was younger so I presume smaller now I'm old and crunched up like yesterday's newspaper, so probably between 5'9 and 5'7...

The last actual new album I heard was the latest Opeth album... but besides that mostly old stuff currently! :)

We're currently working on the 2nd album right now! More news to follow!

Recently? The Dead Betas "Dead Ugly" UK tour has just finished and we played all over England from Penzance to Newcastle and many places inbetween! I think it's just closer to home shows for the rest of the year unless anything else pops up!

Quite a bit currently! The first Vampyrouss gig in ages is coming up in a few weeks so very excited to be back on stage without a bass strapped to me (there are plenty more The Dead Betas gigs coming up also which is just as exciting!)

What is the difference between an EP and album for example? Or what is the difference between the digital and physical Evidence Of Evolution EP?

1) An EP is sort of like a short album, usually a handful of songs compared to a full album that will be like 8+ songs and usually a longer run time... not much of this matters these days in the digital world, however this particular EP includes a 10" vinyl so there is more of a limit of how much space you have available compared to a 12" record which you'd perhaps use for a full length album.

2) Evidence Of Evolution comes in 2 forms, you can either buy it digitally from iTunes or Amazon or you can buy the physical version from our Website. The physical version comes as a package including a 10" green vinyl record, a normal CD and a digital code so you can have a digital copy too. The digital version includes the extra bonus track R.I.P. (Charlotte Effect Remix).
